Homework 1, Section 4

To be submitted prior to Day 1, April 12

Students should find and post/submit images or audio files that they feel are representative of Texas generally or Lubbock, Texas specifically.

**The idea is to have these contributions as points of departure for class discussions. Please post homework as comments to this entry. We'll have three (similar) homework assignments for this section, people in class is expected to do either of them. Thanks!

  2. I didn´t know Lubbock was the birthplace of Buddy Holly, that´s amazing!

  5. Houston is the largest ciry in Texas and it's were NASA has its Mission Control Center ("Houston, we have a problem"). This is a picture of the Johnson Space Center:

  6. This time I'm faithful to the stereotypes... Texas will always go together with the image of cowboys, wide valleys and the association of freedom. Look: the National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration will take place in Lubbock:

  7. I agree with the idea that Texas goes together with the image of cowboys and Amarillo is an example of what I´m saying. Amarillo is a large city in the U.S state of Texas.
    Let´s see a national promotion.

  8. The Houston Rockets is really famous over the world, I think most of basketball fans know about this basketball team.
